BrainSpin in action: first steps toward a better quality of life

15. 10. 2026

As part of the international BrainSpin project, we have begun the first table tennis training sessions for people with Parkinson's disease.

The six-month program is designed to promote participants’ motor and cognitive abilities, as well as their social inclusion.

Alma Mater students Andreja Pungartnik, Tin Černe, Ines Krleža, and Tina Ulaga also take an active part in conducting the exercise sessions, helping to create a pleasant and stimulating exercise environment through their knowledge, dedication, and support.

Monitoring the program’s effects

At the start of the program, we carried out the initial measurements that will allow us to monitor the impact of exercise on the participants’ quality of life and daily activities. We will repeat the measurements after three and six months to track their progress.

The BrainSpin project is carried out with the support of the European Erasmus+ program and is coordinated by Alma Mater Europaea University in cooperation with the Trepetlika Association.

Through movement, play, and cooperation, we connect knowledge, research, and practice, creating new opportunities for a more active and higher-quality life for people with Parkinson’s disease.
