Mode of Implementation and Course of Study (PhD)

Strategic Communication Management

Lectures

The study process in the doctoral study program Strategic Communication Management at Alma Mater is conducted entirely online.

Lectures are held in the afternoon, between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM. All lectures are recorded, and the recordings will be available to all Alma Mater students through e-classrooms on Moodle and remain published throughout the year. In case students do not attend the online lectures in real time, they must submit a summary of the lectures in their online classrooms on Moodle within six days to ensure 100% attendance at the lectures.

Study obligations

Study obligations are generally conducted 1 to 2 times a week in blocks of 3 to 5 school hours.

Exam periods

Subjects usually follow one after another, which means the first exam period is immediately after the lectures and completed exercises, and there is no need to wait for the exam period. Four exam dates are generally announced for each subject. Exams are taken online, usually after 4:00 PM.

Doctoral procedure

In the first year, students submit their research interest areas. In the second year, they focus on preparing the dissertation proposal, which is approved by the Commission for Scientific-Research Work (KZRD) and the Senate. In the third year, the publication of a scientific article follows, as well as the preparation and successful defense of the doctoral dissertation.
