Admission Requirements
Anyone who has completed the final exam in any four-year secondary school program, vocational matura, or general matura can enroll in the higher professional study program Nursing.
Medical Certificate
Selected candidates will need to submit a medical certificate of health capability for performing the duties and tasks of a healthcare worker, issued by an occupational medicine dispensary (referral for preliminary health examination, form DZS 8.203). Due to specific conditions and limitations in the implementation of practical work and exercises during the study period, it is required that the student's physical and mental condition is appropriate. In case of doubt, the commission for the assessment of competence in health professions decides.
According to the vaccination and drug protection program, vaccination against measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, diphtheria, tetanus, and whooping cough is mandatory for all students of this program in Slovenia.
If a decision on enrollment limitation is adopted, candidates will be selected based on:
- general success in the final exam, vocational matura, or general matura − 60% of points,
- general success in the 3rd and 4th year − 40% of points.
