How can we ensure that our physiotherapy students are among the best in Europe? By giving them access to cutting-edge knowledge, international connections, and proven clinical approaches.
With precisely this aim in mind, Assoc. Prof. Tatjana Horvat and Asst. Prof. Dr. Tine Kovačič are taking part in the international workshop for higher-education teachers Advancing Vestibular Education – Empowering Teachers, Inspiring Students, held within the Erasmus+ project, co-financed by the European Union.
International knowledge for higher-quality studies
The workshop focuses on strengthening the teaching of vestibular assessment and rehabilitation—an area that is becoming increasingly important in modern physiotherapy. We secured participation through Alma Mater Europaea’s membership in the association ENPHE (European Network of Physiotherapy in Higher Education), which connects leading European higher-education institutions in the field of physiotherapy.
This means a direct transfer of European good practices into our study process.
Direct benefits for students
The programme includes online theoretical modules and an intensive workshop in Lisbon, where participants develop modern, interactive teaching approaches.
We will systematically integrate the acquired knowledge into the Physiotherapy study programme at the first and second Bologna cycle. This will enable students to:
-
access the latest, evidence-based clinical approaches,
-
more practice-oriented and modern teaching,
-
greater competitiveness on the European labour market,
-
a better understanding of the management of patients with vertigo and balance disorders.
Strengthening academic excellence
The event brings together experts from renowned European institutions such as ESSATLA, Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, and Charles University.
Such collaborations bring fresh ideas, modern approaches, and new perspectives into our classrooms. In this way, we enable students to pursue studies that are modern, internationally comparable, and closely connected with the best European practices.
