Every day we use online services, email, social media, and various digital platforms, but at the same time we are increasingly becoming targets of cyberattacks.
How do modern threats work, who is behind them, and how can we protect ourselves from them?
You will be able to get answers to these questions at the online lecture Cybersecurity in Practice, which we are organizing through the Student Council of Alma Mater Europaea University on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 1:00 PM. The lecture will be delivered by experts Peter Bulović and Dalibor Vukovič, who will present current trends, challenges, and practical solutions in the field of cybersecurity.
Participants will learn how cyberattacks are carried out today, which methods attackers most commonly use, and how organizations in practice identify and manage different types of cyber threats. Special insight will be dedicated to the operation of the SOC center (Security Operations Center), where experts continuously monitor security events, detect incidents, and respond to them.
The lecturers will also present tools, security settings, and best practices that significantly contribute to the protection of information systems in the modern digital environment. The lecture will be enriched with concrete real-world examples, so it will be useful both for students and for anyone who wants to better understand the world of cybersecurity.
