Alma Mater Europaea University held a ceremonial graduation in Koper for Italian physiotherapy students. They represent an important part of the university’s international community and make a significant contribution to its development and recognition in the wider European area.
The ceremony once again confirmed the strategic orientation of Alma Mater Europaea – quality, international, and practically oriented education in the field of health sciences. The physiotherapy program, which is among the university’s key study programs, is focused on developing competent, independent, and employable professionals who are prepared for the challenges of the modern healthcare system.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ludvik Toplak emphasized in his address the importance of internationalization and the role of Italian students as ambassadors of the university: their knowledge, expertise, and work ethic contribute to the reputation of Alma Mater Europaea in Italy and more broadly across Europe. He also highlighted that the field of physiotherapy, with its human-centered focus, makes an important contribution to the development of a society based on cooperation, empathy, and professionalism.
The representative of the teaching staff, Dr. Vincenzo Giovanni Ferrara also emphasized that graduates enter the labor market equipped with knowledge based on three key pillars: internationality, connectedness, and practical applicability. These competencies are precisely what are essential today for successful integration into the rapidly changing healthcare environment.
The theses of physiotherapy students addressed current challenges – from rehabilitation after injuries and neurological disorders to the use of modern therapeutic approaches and technologies. In doing so, the graduates demonstrate a high level of professionalism and a focus on solving concrete problems in practice.
The awarding of diplomas therefore represents not only the conclusion of studies, but also the beginning of the professional path of a new generation of physiotherapists who, with their knowledge, international experience, and human approach, will help shape the future of healthcare in Italy and beyond.
