Physiotherapy begins with understanding the body

Physiotherapy begins with understanding the body

Successful physiotherapy treatment begins with understanding the cause of the problem.

That is why at Alma Mater Europaea University we successfully carried out the first module of the educational program Systemic Regulation and Functional Integration in Physiotherapy, where participants enhanced their clinical reasoning and deepened their understanding of how the human body functions.

Modern physiotherapy is not based solely on eliminating pain, but above all on understanding the causes that led to the problems. For this very reason, the first module was dedicated to an in-depth understanding of how the human body functions and the connections between individual bodily systems that influence health and movement.

Program instructor Almedin Muharemović emphasizes that understanding these connections is the foundation of successful therapeutic work: »Before a therapist can treat effectively, they must understand how the human body functions. If we do not understand the cause of the problem and the meaning of the symptom, therapy cannot be targeted or successful in the long term either.«

Through lectures and practical work, participants developed their clinical reasoning, expanded their professional knowledge, and gained new perspectives on patient treatment. Special emphasis was placed on functional diagnostics and understanding the processes that influence the development of various movement limitations and pain.

The first module represents an important foundation for further education. In the next module, participants will focus in more detail on functional and structural dysfunctions, their clinical interpretation, and the practical application of manual and rehabilitation techniques.

We congratulate all participants on successfully completing the first module and look forward to the continuation of the education and to new professional knowledge that they will be able to bring into their work with patients.
