The Alma Mater Europaea University is also actively participating this year in the Festival for the Third Age (F3žO), which takes place at Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana.

Students of social gerontology, together with their mentors, prepared an informational booth where they conduct blood sugar and blood pressure measurements as well as cognitive exercises. Visitors can also gain insight into the Social Gerontology program at Alma Mater, which is offered at all three levels of study – undergraduate, master's, and doctoral. "With this, we want to bring closer to visitors the importance of healthy and active aging and present opportunities for further education in this rapidly growing field," they announce.

As part of the event, we also presented the latest book by Dr. Šime Ivanjek titled Meeting with Age,  which provides an in-depth insight into the aging process, which the author addresses through the prism of his own life experiences and professional knowledge. More about the book here.

The discussion about the book was moderated by the renowned expert in social gerontology Prof. Dr. Jana Goriup, who with her questions and insights opened an interesting debate on how we experience and understand aging in modern society.

The F3žO Festival is the central event dedicated to active aging and intergenerational cooperation, where Alma Mater Europaea regularly presents its research and educational achievements as well as innovative approaches in the field of health and social sciences.
