The student advances to the 2nd year, 

If they have earned at least 40 ECTS.

The student advances to the 3rd year, 

If they have earned at least 100 ECTS.

Repeating a year

A student who has not met the conditions for advancement may repeat the year. Due to failure to meet obligations, a student may only repeat one year once during the entire course of study.

Extension of status

A student's status may be extended for up to one year if, for justified reasons, they do not enroll in a higher year in accordance with the Statute.

Provisions on transitions between programs

Transitions between programs are possible within first-cycle programs of Alma Mater Europaea University and other faculties in accordance with the Higher Education Act (applicable to programs adopted under the 2004 HEA), Criteria for transitions between study programs, and other regulations. Students enrolled before the introduction of new study programs for obtaining education, who have rights to repeat and due to the gradual introduction of new study programs cannot repeat a year in the program they enrolled in, will transfer to the new program under the same conditions as students of the new programs.

When transferring from other study programs to the first-cycle higher vocational study program "Management of Business Systems," the candidate must submit a certified certificate of completed study obligations at the higher education institution where they were enrolled and an official transcript of confirmed and valid curricula for subjects and other contents in which they completed study obligations from the same or related programs. If the study contents (subjects and other study program contents) from the candidate's previous study do not cover the contents of the higher vocational study program to an appropriate extent, the "Study Affairs Committee" may determine the missing obligations that candidates must fulfill if they wish to graduate in the new program.

Conditions for transition between study programs:

Students of higher vocational study programs in management who meet the conditions for enrollment in the new higher vocational study program "Management of Business Systems" will be assigned missing obligations they must complete if they wish to graduate in the new program. These conditions apply both to study programs adopted before the 2004 Higher Education Act and those adopted after this law.

Students of higher, university, or higher vocational study programs in related fields and related university or higher vocational first-cycle study programs (organization, management, etc.) who meet the conditions for enrollment in the new Management of Business Systems programs at Alma Mater Europaea University will be assigned missing obligations they must complete if they wish to graduate under the new program.

Counseling and guidance during studies

A support system will be provided to students within the higher vocational study program Management of Business Systems, which is also in accordance with point 9 of Article 7 of the Accreditation Criteria. Students will have their year representatives – tutors – from the first year onward.

Conditions for completing studies

Students complete their studies by fulfilling:

• 16 compulsory subjects (120 ECTS),
• 4 elective subjects (24 ECTS),
• 2 project assignments with practice (20 ECTS),
• a thesis (16 ECTS).

The study is completed by anyone who fulfills all obligations prescribed by the study program – thus earning at least 180 ECTS.
