Condition for advancement from the 1st to the 2nd year of doctoral studies

is the completion of study obligations amounting to at least 40 credit points.

Candidates may enroll in the 3rd year of doctoral studies, 

who have completed all study obligations of the 1st year and study obligations of the 2nd year amounting to at least 100 credit points, whereby the selection of the doctoral dissertation topic and the first presentation (subject Doctoral Dissertation: topic selection and first presentation) is mandatory.

A student may exceptionally enroll in a higher year even if they have not completed all obligations specified by the study program for enrollment in a higher year, if they have justified reasons for this, such as: maternity, prolonged illness, exceptional family and special circumstances, recognized status of a person with special needs, active participation in top professional, cultural and sports events, active participation in the institution's bodies. This is determined by the Commission for Study Affairs based on the student's request.

A student who demonstrates above-average study results may be allowed faster advancement if this is possible according to the study process. The decision is made by the institution's senate based on the candidate's request and the reasoned opinion of the Commission for Study Affairs. The decision determines the method of faster advancement.
