Hybrid Lectures 

The study process in the higher education study program Archival Studies at Alma Mater is conducted in a hybrid manner, which means that students can attend lectures in Ljubljana or online via the Zoom application.

Lectures take place in the afternoon, between 16:00 and 20:00. All lectures are recorded, and the recordings will be available to all Alma Mater students through e-classrooms on Moodle and remain published throughout the year. If students attend lectures online, they must submit a summary of the lectures to their online classrooms on Moodle within six days to ensure 100% attendance at the lectures.

Exercises

Attendance at exercises is mandatory (100%) and is a prerequisite for taking the exam. Exercises are usually held on-site in the afternoon between 16:00 and 20:15 during the week and on Saturdays between 9:00 and 13:15, unless otherwise specified by the course instructor. Exercises are not recorded and cannot be attended online.

Practical Training 

Practical training takes place in the third year. It is organized by the faculty, but students can also find their own internship. Practical training lasts 8 weeks and is part of the Practice course (10 ECTS) and the Project Assignment course (5 ECTS), where the student describes the company where they completed the internship on 3-6 pages, describes the tasks they performed, and highlights any problems they encountered. If the student already has some work experience, the internship can be recognized as informally acquired knowledge.

Exam Periods

Courses usually follow one after another, which means the first exam period is immediately after lectures and completed exercises, and there is no need to wait for the exam period. Typically, four exam periods are announced for each course. Exams are taken at Alma Mater premises or online depending on the course, usually at 15:00, but sometimes at 14:00.

Study Obligations

Study obligations are usually carried out 1 to 2 times a week in blocks of 3 to 5 school hours.
