Mode of Study and Course of Study (BS)

Dance, choreography

Audition process

The audition process is designed to get to know the candidate, their technical skills, and creative potential, which stems from personal engagement, clear goals, motivation, and imagination. For the ballet program, candidates do not take an aptitude test. Instead, they must submit proof of successfully completed secondary ballet school or equivalent ballet education, which is then decided upon by the commission.

Exam periods

Students fulfill study obligations through ongoing practical colloquia, seminar papers, and exams. Part of the exam obligations is also fulfilled with an annual production, which students prepare each year together with lecturers.

Study obligations

Study obligations take place almost every working day in the morning hours, usually between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. During these hours, practical lessons are held for the Contemporary Dance and Jazz programs, while the Ballet program has a slightly different schedule. Attendance at rehearsals is mandatory (100%) and is a condition for taking the exam.
