New Generation Diplomas for Directors

14. 6. 2025

At Alma Mater Europaea University, another edition of the Directors' School has been successfully completed, focusing on the development of strategic thinking, modern leadership, and ethical responsibility of management personnel.

The participants of this year's program have been trained through intensive and in-depth education for successful management of organizations in a complex and rapidly changing business environment.

The final ceremonial diploma awarding event was opened with speeches by Associate Professor Dr. Barbara Toplak Perovič, Dean of the ECM Faculty at Alma Mater Europaea University, and Suzi Kvas, Secretary General of the Social Chamber of Slovenia. Both congratulated the participants on their achievements and emphasized the importance of continuous knowledge improvement in leadership positions.

"Knowledge is one of the rare resources that does not lose value when shared. On the contrary, it strengthens the individual and the community. We are proud that with the Directors' School we are shaping the leaders of the future who understand the importance of professionalism, compassion, and determination," said Associate Professor Dr. Barbara Toplak Perovič.

The Directors' School is conducted in cooperation with the Social Chamber of Slovenia and is designed as a specialized program for directors and senior employees in the social and broader public sector. The emphasis is on developing leadership competencies, knowledge of legislation, strategic thinking, as well as communication and ethics in leadership. The program is delivered by established experts from practice and academia and also enables rich exchange of experiences among participants.

"Leadership today is no longer a question of authority, but the ability to inspire, connect, and guide people towards common goals. With the Directors' School, we strengthen exactly this—responsible, humane, and professional leadership," added Suzi Kvas.

At the conclusion, special thanks also go to the mentors who enriched the program significantly with their knowledge, support, and presence. They are: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marija Osvenik, Dr. Nikolaj Lipič, Mag. Tomislav Nemec and Dr. Tomaž Lenart.

The Directors' School at Alma Mater combines the experience of recognized experts, current topics in management, law, economics, and sustainable development, and encourages connection and networking among participants who come from various sectors: economy, public administration, education, and healthcare.

Sincere congratulations to all directors who will contribute to co-creating more successful, responsible, and more sustainably oriented organizations.
