Physiotherapy student Nuša Trlep successfully presented a paper titled Burdens on the spines of community nurses in Slovenia at the 7th Scientific and Professional Conference on the Health of Working and Older Adults in Portorož.

The article highlighted the common occurrence of back pain among community nurses, who are subjected to excessive spinal strain due to prolonged conditions and physically demanding work. Her research emphasizes the importance of proper ergonomics and workplace adjustments, which can significantly contribute to reducing pain and improving working conditions for medical staff.

"I am proud to be a student at Alma Mater Europaea University, and I was very pleased to present my research, which was created as part of my final thesis. For me, this is an invaluable new experience that opens up new opportunities in the professional field," Nuša said after the presentation.

The physiotherapy study at Alma Mater Europaea University offers students a wide range of theoretical and practical knowledge that they can immediately apply in clinical and research work.

An example of research by Nu61a Trlep, which focuses on the spinal loads of community nurses, highlights how students gain valuable experience in studying real health challenges through their final theses. Read more about physiotherapy studies.
