Who is the new head tutor?

22. 10. 2025

At Alma Mater Europaea University, the first meeting of student tutors for the 2025/2026 academic year took place today.

Student tutors play an important role in shaping a supportive and cohesive learning environment. Their experience and knowledge help younger peers integrate more easily into their studies and university life.

Tutoring at Alma Mater Europaea is not just a way to help with learning but also an opportunity for personal growth and the development of numerous soft skills—from leadership and organization to communication and teamwork. Tutors participate in various events, projects, and student initiatives, thereby enriching the study experience of the entire community.

In this academic year, the work of the tutors will be led by the new president of the tutors, Tajda Kocuvan, a physiotherapy student, who said upon her appointment:

"I am very much looking forward to the new academic year. With both vice presidents, Domnom and Vidom Sedejem, we have collaborated successfully so far. I am convinced that together we will create something good, new, and useful for all students."

The Commission selected the tutors for the Selection of Student Tutors, which includes Dr. Sebastjan Kristovič, Vice-Rector for Education; Mladen Herc, Head of the Physiotherapy program; Dr. Tanja Angleitner Sagadin, Head of Business Systems Management; and Katarina Pernat, Head of the Department of Communication and Marketing.

As in previous years, actively evaluated tutors will receive reduced tuition and numerous professional and personal development opportunities. Alma Mater Europaea University, through the tutoring program, encourages cooperation, mutual assistance, and the strengthening of the academic community, which is based on knowledge, solidarity, and trust.
