Conditional Enrollment
Conditional Enrollment
A student may exceptionally enroll in a higher year even if they have not completed all the requirements for advancement, provided they have justified reasons listed below.
Justified Reasons and Required Evidence
-
Motherhood during studies
Evidence: excerpt from the birth register. Female students who give birth during the current academic year have the right to extend their student status by one year for each live-born child, provided they are enrolled as students during this time. -
High-risk pregnancy in the current academic year
Evidence: certificate from a gynecologist specialist. -
Fatherhood in the first year of the child's life, if the father lives with the child in the same household and is entitled to leave for child care and protection
Evidence: excerpt from the birth register, certificate of shared household, certificate of leave usage. -
Illness lasting at least three months during lectures
Evidence: numbered medical certificate from the personal doctor with information on the duration of the illness and absence periods. During the absence, the student must not take exams or fulfill other obligations (this is recorded in VIS). -
Death of student's family members (mother, father, brother, sister, husband, wife, child) during the exam periods of the current academic year
Evidence: excerpt from the death register and birth register proving kinship; for members of the same household also a certificate of shared household. -
Severe social circumstances of the student's family, recorded at the Social Work Center, which affected study engagement during exam periods
Evidence: certificate from the Social Work Center showing the occurrence of social circumstances at least one month before the exam period. -
Education in two or more study programs
Evidence: certificate of enrollment in an additional program. -
At least three months of education abroad
Evidence: certificate of education abroad. -
Active participation in institutional bodies
Evidence: certificate from the president of the AMEU body confirming active attendance at sessions (indicating number of sessions and % attendance) and at least one documented substantive contribution (initiative, minutes, report, participation in a working group). Tutoring is not an institutional body. -
Active participation in top professional, cultural or sports events
Evidence: certificate from the organizer or umbrella organization clearly stating the event name, its national or international significance, the student's role (e.g., lecturer, performer, organizer, categorized athlete, etc.), time and extent of participation.
For athletes, an excerpt from the register of categorized athletes of the OKS or a certificate from the relevant federation also applies. Certificates must be signed and stamped. Passive participation without an active role is not sufficient.
Procedure for submitting a conditional enrollment request
A student wishing to apply for conditional enrollment in a higher year submits a request via VIS, where they select the Requests tab in the left menu, then Enrollment Request – Conditional Enrollment and complete it.
Scanned evidence (maximum 5 files) must be attached to the request. Once the request is complete and submitted, the office schedules it for the last session of the Study Affairs Commission (KŠZ) in the current academic year. The student will receive an invoice by email for processing the application according to the Alma Mater price list, which must be paid within 7 days.
After approval of conditional enrollment
If the Study Affairs Commission approves the conditional enrollment, an enrollment form will be prepared within 5 working days, which the student completes electronically in VIS to finalize enrollment. Access to VIS
If the student is waiting for exam results, their conditional enrollment request will be considered later, even after the deadline for submitting applications to the KŠZ. If the student later meets the conditions for enrollment in a higher year, they must delete the request from VIS to avoid additional costs.
Important: Before enrollment, check whether you have settled all financial obligations for the previous academic year and completed all assigned surveys.
